• Conduct investigative interviews of assigned cases to assess and address needs of client.
• Prepare and conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessment to evaluate individual needs, limitations, and circumstances, informing appropriate case management strategies.
• Make appropriate recommendations for intervention based on assessment findings and research.
• Perform additional duties as delegated by the Social Worker in alignment with unit objectives.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all case-related interactions, assessments, and interventions in accordance with the court’s policies and regulations.
• Document all referrals, reports, and relevant information, and ensure the maintenance of a well-organized and efficient filing system.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, set up counseling sessions via Microsoft teams, maintain calendars and activity sheets and handle basic inquiries from clients and parents.
• Actively participate in professional development and in-service training initiatives offered by the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago.
• Maintaine file registers and filing systems in keeping with the Ministry's established systems and procedures.
• Organize an electronic filing system.
• Prepare and submit incident reports and referrals to Student Support Services Division.
• Undertake information gathering for grant applications, as directed, and compile data for submission to the Ministry.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
• Prepare and edit documents, reports, memos, and emails.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support office operations.
• Conduct interviews, home visits, and background assessments to gather relevant information on the child's family's social, financial and environmental circumstances.
• Assist in providing court support and preparation of reports for judicial proceedings when required.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead to develop and implement individualized care and intervention plans.
• Maintain detailed case records, progress reports, and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and legal standards.
• Participate in case conferences and meetings to inform case planning and ensure continuity of care.
• Observe interviews with clients to gather necessary information for case documentation.
• Helpe assess client needs under supervision of the social worker.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensured proper handling of client records.
• Assist in monitoring and following up on client progress and service referrals.
