  • Exposure to the well head (Christmas tree), SCSSV, SSV, lower master, Choke valve, Wing valves, Separators, Fuel gas system, Flare scrubber, Dehydration systems, oil recovery systems, ESD, PSD, systems, SDV (shut down valves), BDV (blow down valves) etc.
  • Maintenance of engines, screw type air compressors, water maker, pedestal cranes, pumps, generators both gas and diesel, marine sanitation devices (MSD), life boats, centrifugal/positive displacement pumps, fire water pumps and PLQ (permanent living quarters) to name a few.
  • Assist and troubleshoot in rectifying in plant abnormalities. Experience with solar gas turbines mainly Taurus 60 and Mars 100. Troubleshoot and conduct 12 monthly PM on same.
  • Major works on Turbines- replacement of VFD start motor and clutch; replacement of main lube oil pump; replacement of Pecc valves; bleed valves; replacement of all filters, spark plugs injectors; assisted the Solar Tech on board to inspect engine utilizing the borescope; conduct water-wash on engines; replacement of engine Temperature Control Valve; troubleshoot and rectify issues with regards to fail to crank, high lube oil temperature, ignition failure, flame out, gas valve check failure; coupling replacement/high vibration.
  • Fully conversant with P&IDs, PFDs, cause and effect diagrams, all schematics; familiar with LOTO (lock out tag out) procedure; familiar with all forms of isolations (mechanical, electrical, positive isolations; spades and blinds); lifting and rigging, crane operations; familiar with lifting equipment, codes and standard for conducting same; commissioning of offshore systems, water maker, PLQ utilities, Omnipure, piping (steel and fiber bond).
  • Function as part of the Emergency Response Team when required.
  • Prepare permit to work packages to perform daily tasks.
  • Conduct plant readings to ensure proper operations within parameters; Perform maintenance on all rotating equipments on facility; Carry out Preventative Maintenance, both mechanical and operational as per maintenance plan
  • Conduct sampling as requested by operational staff
  • Review and audit registers; Verify lock open and lock close valves on facility as per P&IDs; Conduct valve integrity test as per maintenance plan; Carry out gas testing throughout the facility as per permit to work
  • Function as a control room operator when necessary. Assisted with day-to-day operations, working efficiently and productively with all team members.
  • Worked flexible hours across night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Managed time efficiently in order to complete all tasks within deadlines.
