Accomplishments

  • Negotiated with vendors, saving TSTT $300K annually for maintenance and support contracts of the company's Network Monitoring System utilized by the Network and IT LOB.
  • Significantly reduced Section and department Overtime Cost by reorganizing staff schedules in accordance with HR and IR best practices.
  • Ensured the NOC Operations is equipped with redundancy and resiliency for business continuity. Today the NOC can be operated remotely from any location around the world.
  • Improved delivery of Incident Reporting to the business by Implementing Daily, Weekly and Monthly focus reports such as the Network and Service Status 4HR Report, MTTR & SLA Report and the Monthly Fiber Incident Report to provide data required to drive business decisions and track KPI.
  • Implement an In House Knowledge Transfer Initiative among technical teams with Network and IT to build technical capacity among the staff in areas of Fault Isolation, Incident handling, reporting and escalations which has significantly impacted efficiency and improved operations.
  • Lobbied for Upgrade and expansion of Network Monitoring system for speedy incident resolution.
  • Successful implementation of an automated end-to-end Service Assurance platform with a 360 view of TSTT's Network to provide real time Service Assurance.
  • Drafted and partially implemented a training plan for Trinidad and Tobago's International Coast Station North Post Maritime Radio Station to operate effectively and efficiently through-Training and retraining of all Radio Operators in International Telecommunications Unions Regulations and GMDSS.
