• Assist in decision-making for Caribbean Soil Support Group and Caribbean Land Management Group

• Provides technical support to the clients of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries (farmers and extension officers)
• Advises on application and use of fertilizers/ soil ameliorants through seminars, reports and field visits
• Recommends fertilizers, plant growth regulators, soil amendments and ameliorants as well as water adjuvants for duty free concession
• Prepares staff reports, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the unit
