Wind Resource Assessment Tool
Developed a wind resource assessment tool, based on a patented wind flow model, in MATLAB that imports digital elevation models alongside historical wind data from meteorological towers. The software analyses both types of data to predict the annual average wind speed and calculate the annual energy production and capacity actor for a wind turbine at a desired location. The model was effective in estimating elevation of various locations, with an error of 5%.
