Summary: This 18-month PSIP project is intended to foster efficient communication to enhance public awareness of development plans and policies that govern land use planning in Trinidad and Tobago, inclusive of user-friendly communication platforms that are accessible to public. Tasks carried out include:

  • Developing and implementing a multi-platform communication strategy involving targeted stakeholder consultations, public outreach campaigns, and modernization of digital platforms (website and social media).
  • Directing strategic engagement sessions with major financial institutions, academic partners, and government agencies to explore the intersection of planning, policy, and land transaction processes.
  • Coordinating the planning and delivery of public education events, including university outreach and a stakeholder conference in Tobago, to promote civic understanding and national inclusivity.
  • Collaborating with ICT and communications teams to guide the redesign of the TCPD website, improving access to planning services and regulatory information.

Duties carried out under this body:

  • Contributed to the formulation of the Recognition and Disciplinary Committees, licensure requirements, and registration protocols, ensuring the establishment of high standards of professional accountability and integrity.
  • Advised on disciplinary procedures, compliance frameworks, and continuous professional development criteria to strengthen the regulatory environment for planning professionals.
