Intensive Care Experience

• Adult and pediatric ICU
• Access and Admit patients from various departments in the hospital(Tertiary Hospital).

Anesthesia

• Capable managing Upto ASA 3 patients in theater.
• General Anesthesia: Can do Induction, Intubation, maintainance, Extubation.
• Analgesia - PCA(morphine pumps), Regional Blocks. Epidural for patients in Labour.
• Spinal Anesthesia - Capable of conducting a case with Spinal Anesthesia under Emergency or Planned.
• Preop Clinics, Chronic pain clinics under the guidance of Consultants.

• Conducted Clinics, admitted patients to wards treat, discharge and followup.
• Lectures to factory workers about occupational lung diseases.
• National Tuberculosis Programe is exclusively run by this department for the whole country.
• Treating Bronchial Asthma, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis and various major lung diseases.

This is exclusive Obstetric and Gynecology hospital.

My first posting as doctor, recruited to help lack of doctors in the department.

Seeing patients in the emergency department, admitting them if needed or followup treatment to the clinics.

Conducting Clinics, Planning Lists for theater, pre-op assessment, post operative care on the ward.

Assisting the surgeons in the operating theater. Cases range from D&C, C-Section, TAH, Biopsies, Episiotomy post delivery.

Plan and assist in administering general anesthesia, sedation, and regional anesthesia.

Observing and Logging of various cases seen and helped to manage.

• Observing presentation and treatment of different STD's.. Helping resident doctors to initiate and follow-up of patients on Anti-retroviral treatment for national HIV program.
