Major Accomplishments

  • Project managed the implementation of the IT infrastructure that was required to support the first GSM network in Trinidad; this project resulted in an additional billion-dollar revenue stream for TSTT Ltd. On the project, I gathered the IT requirements, identified the risks, developed risk responses, prepared project plans, allocated resources, executed and monitored the plan.
  • Project managed the hardware upgrade of GTECH’s operation centre; this resulted in the following, an increase in transaction processing capacity from 1,500 transactions per second to 5,000 transactions per second, a reduction in the nightly processing time by 4 hours to about an hour, an increased system uptime from 98% to 99.99%, as well as a reduction in the backup processing time from 20 hours to 2 hours.
  • Delivered products and services, as well as several hundreds of software functionalities and hardware capacity as per agreed customer requirements and as per agreed schedule; the new products and services led to a 25% increase in the customer’s revenue over a two-year period.
  • Coordinated marketing surveys to gather data on the delivery of customer-based services; from these surveys, several recommendations were put forward and accepted, and the outcome being the implementation of value-based solutions; internal training was also identified.
  • Established key performance indices (KPIs); this resulted in improved efficiencies of the operations, in some cases, a 50% improvement was seen and in other cases inefficiencies were eliminated.
  • Revised and updated company’s policies and procedures manual to provide greater clarity to employees on the day-to-day operations. Thus, the revised document ensured compliance with laws and regulations, and provided guidance for decision-making, as well as it assisted in streamlining the company’s internal processes.
