Directly responsible for the strategy, planning, and management for all phases of military and domestic logistics within the Marine Ship Safety Port Facility Security Unit of the Coast Guard, and Maritime Services of Trinidad and Tobago. This job/position I hold requires me to work closely with the regional and local teams of personnel in a vast and dynamic world, helping achieve the secondary cost and service targets for the effective operational upkeep of warehouses/stores, expected to deliver logistical services to meet the complex requirements of all appointments and transportation needs of staff to port facilities located around Trinidad and Tobago: Superintend supply chain functions for high and low volume product warehousing i.e., all petroleum products, parts, and equipment (distribution/ dispatching to deliver operational excellence and work effectively with internal stakeholders/departments across a matrix environment). Develop and manage a team of over 100 logistical personnel between the Maritime Services and the T&T Coast Guard deployed daily across Trinidad and Tobago: ensure the achievement of service objectives safely and efficiently: Implement all Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) initiatives and meet Decision Support System (DSS) statutory requirements and Legal expectations in all areas of warehousing and transportation: Having an Oversight of all petroleum products, tools, machinery, equipment, and general upkeep of the facilities surroundings. Implementation of all security measures on the Port facilities that are ISPS compliant within T&T i.e. auditing of Port Facilities Security Assessments and Security Plans to ensure that rules and regulations stipulated by the ISPS Code are adhered to, I assumed the position of what is called the Port Facilities Security Coordinator, managing and proving all training of Port Facilities Security Inspectors: Coordinate all visits form the US Coast Guard that visits biannually to our shores to inspect the port facilities for breeches of the ISPS Code they do trade within Trinidad and Tobago.

Coordinate all visits from the International Maritime Organization (IMO), towards training and certification of staff members of both the Maritime services and the Coast Guard. I have controlled investigations of Service Quality incidents, Facilities incidents, Transportation, and all Vehicular traffic incidents for the Coast Guard implementing Loss Prevention plans to mitigate against future incidents and accidents: communicated the Coast Guard’s vision, metrics, goals, achievements to staff and senior staff. Providing the right goal to combine the right training, credentials, and experiences gained from the twenty-seven years of working with the Coast Guard, imparting knowledge and skills to your organization.
