• Competently co-ordinates DCS & field operations taking all appropriate actions for plant start-up, shut down, process control, quality control and responses to abnormal plant conditions.
• Tracks progress of maintenance work to minimize downtime or un-availability of critical equipment. Supervises subsequent restart of said equipment.
• Ensures that the permit to work system is followed and all safety precautions are taken when releasing equipment for maintenance activities.
• Monitors Plant conditions, and calls out personnel as needed under guidance of Senior Production Supervisor.
• Performing JHA`s and plant Safety Walks.
• Trend data to analyze plant performance and abnormalities then seek ways to enhance and sustain production.
• Perform / direct ship-loading operations.
• Reviews sample results and ensures adjustment are made to ensure product specification and environment conformance.
• Enter / Reviews work orders using the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne online program.
• Assists Senior Production Supervisor in handling any employee related matters that arise on the shift.
• Responsible for developing and implementing training and development programs for shift personnel including trainees and continuous training as changes in plant technology and equipment design occur.
• Assist in the performance assessment of the shift and provides feedback to enable their development and to improve performance.
• Understands and applies Company’s policy and procedures as defined in the HR Policies and Procedures Manual.
• Reviews plant documentation to ensure technical accuracy and quality standards compliance.
• Respond to emergency as a member of the emergency response crew, having knowledge of the emergency plan.
