Shane Gangoo

• Served as team leader for UTT programme final year project which involved designing by calculation, renders, simulation and physical model building of a fixed wing, electrically driven unmanned, remote controlled aircraft from scratch. Provided the team members with goals and deadlines to successfully complete the project within the specified deadline.

• Specialized in an Avionics background during the programme which taught electrical fundamentals, aircraft avionics systems such as indication, instruments, gyros, lights, computers, autopilot, communication, navigation, radio, transponders, TCAS and electrical power.

• Developed skills of using CAD software and Matlab to simulate scenarios and solve problems. Gained knowledge in material strength calculation, stress analysis and determining cyclic stresses in materials through simulated software such as SolidWorks and applied this knowledge to the working model for the final year project.
