• Promote good health, safety, security and environmental practices throughout all company
activities
• Assist in the review the company Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality Policy Statements on an annual basis
Ensure all personnel have the necessary training for their assigned tasks and projects by coordinating with third party training institutions for specific and relevant training programs and /or ensuring in-house training is conducted
• Carry out or arrange workplace safety inspections /audits and ensure that policies and procedures
are being adhered to, ensure any remedial recommendations are tracked and implemented
▪ Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
▪ Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for HSSEQ Manager
▪ Participate in near miss and safety incident investigation as per the Investigation Procedure and
assure the follow up of the recommendation
▪ Review all accident/incident reports, give feedback and ensure corrective actions and trends are
monitored
▪ Keep up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Occupational
Safety and Health Authority and Agency Act (OSH Act) and any developments that affect the
company
▪ Assist in preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policy
▪ Assist in the preparation of safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all
relevant hazards
▪ Assist in leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues
