- Conduct initial inspections and certification and the continued surveillance and inspection of the air operators and aerodrome/airport operators to ensure that the required standards of operation with regards to Cabin Safety and Dangerous Goods are maintained.
- Responsible for inspecting and evaluating cabin safety procedures, equipment, and operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements - including emergency evacuation procedures, cabin crew training, passenger safety briefings, and cabin equipment functionality.
- Verify that operators adhere to safety protocols, maintain proper emergency equipment, and follow established procedures to mitigate risks and ensure passenger and crew safety.
- Conduct audits, provide recommendations for improvement, and contribute to the development and enforcement of cabin safety regulations.
- Conduct investigations into adverse findings and recommends measures to ensure compliance by operators as well as conducts investigations into incidents into incidents and accidents involving civil aircraft in Trinidad & Tobago
- Keep abreast of of emerging technologies and the changing global industry and recommend changes to update techniques and procedures to meet the demands of the developments in the industry.
