The Quality Engineer is a key role, within the Project Team, which underpins the successful delivery of the portfolio of Trinidad Projects.
The Quality Engineer develops, implements and maintains the projects’ Quality Management System (QMS), in conformance with bp’s quality management processes, and provides guidance to the project team on quality related activities through all phases of the project lifecycle - Concept Development, Optimize, Define and Execute.
Further, the Quality Engineer provides oversight of the Quality activities of Suppliers and Contractors and manages the activities of third-party inspection service providers providing verification and oversight services on behalf of bp.
Key Accountabilities
The role of the Technical Specialist (TS) supports Well Discipline Engineers by selecting the appropriate quality assurance requirements and providing oversight for the manufacture and test of permanently installed drilling and completion equipment and associated service tools. Identifying and assisting bp's Regions in identifying the quality assurance requirements that apply to equipment being manufactured or Rented. Expertise in quality management, auditing, quality control and inspection (including destructive and non-destructive testing) is utilized to support the ongoing operations and technology projects to better enable quality requirements to be met and to increase equipment reliability in increasingly challenging environments, e.g. high-pressure/high-temperature and deep water.
